Best performed former Garrett College players in pro basketball in last week games

We bring you last week's top former Lakers players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Experienced Akeem Scott (6'1''-SG-83, played in 2002-04, plays pro in Mexico) led Venados de Mazatlan to a victory over the league outsider Pioneros Los Mochis (3-10) 106-99 in the Mexican CIBACOPA last Saturday. Scott was MVP of the game. He scored 34 points (!!!), grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 9 assists in 40 minutes. Venados de Mazatlan (7-7) is placed sixth in the CIBACOPA. Scott has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 25.1ppg, 7.0rpg, 5.7apg and 3.0spg in seven games he played so far. Scott is a naturalized Jamaican. He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

   #2. DeAndre Davis (6'8''-F-94, played in 2013-15, plays in Slovakia). Davis could not help Iskra Svit (19-13) to beat Inter Bratislava (28-4) in the Slovakian SBL. He scored 9 points, had 4 rebounds and made 2 blocks. But Iskra Svit was crushed 114-48 on the road by the leading Inter Bratislava. Davis has relatively good stats this season 12.3ppg, 7.2rpg, 1.4apg, 1.2bpg and 1.4spg.

   #3. Chris Scarlett (6'0''-PG, graduated '15, currently in United Kingdom) managed to help Solent Kestrels in a victory against the league leader Worthing Thunder (22-4) 100-81 in the British NBL D1 (second division) in Sunday night's game. Scarlett scored only 4 points in 14 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Solent Kestrels (22-4) is placed second in the NBL D1. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. This year Scarlett averages 7.0ppg, 1.5rpg and 1.1apg in 24 games.
