Tanner Clark returns for his third season as an Assistant Wrestling Coach at Garrett College, bringing with him firsthand experience as a former Laker standout and a deep understanding of the program's culture and expectations.
A key member of the coaching staff, Clark has helped guide Garrett to a 10-5 dual meet record during the 2024–2025 season, along with a top 15 national ranking. His contributions have played a significant role in developing a total of 15 NJCAA national qualifiers, reinforcing the program’s competitive edge on the national stage.
Clark is also deeply committed to academic achievement. During his tenure, the team earned the 12th highest GPA among all NJCAA wrestling programs for the 2024–2025 academic year, and produced 9 NWCA Scholar All-Americans, showcasing the balance between athletic and academic excellence that defines Garrett College Wrestling.
Before stepping into his coaching role, Clark competed for two seasons at Garrett College, where he was known for his grit and work ethic, before transferring to Kent State University to complete his collegiate wrestling career.
Coach Clark brings unique value to the staff as both an alumnus and former Division I athlete. His ability to relate to student-athletes, paired with his technical knowledge and passion for the sport, continues to strengthen the foundation of success at Garrett.
