Tanner Clark joins the Garrett College Wrestling program as an assistant coach for the Lakers. Clark is a Berkeley Springs high school native, where he was a 3 time state qualifier, and a 2 time regional runner-up, while taking the honors of placing 2nd at the state tournament during his senior year. Clark brought his talents to Garrett College with the start of a new wrestling program. He wrestled his first season at 197, took 4th at districts, and finished in the top 16 at the national tournament. His sophomore season, he took on the challenge at heavyweight, while claiming a district title and finishing 9th at the national tournament. Clark graduated with an Associate’s degree in General Studies in 2020 from Garrett College. Clark continued his collegiate career and moved on to the Division 1 level where Clark wrestled at Kent State university. While at Kent, he wrestled at 197 and heavyweight, earning his letterman jacket. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and sport’s performance, with a minor in entrepreneurship in 2022.
