McHenry, MD – Garrett College's EJ Guy notched a 141-pound technical fall and teammate Tyberius Clayton pulled out a high-scoring win at 184 pounds Saturday in the Lakers' 41-8 wrestling loss to host Frostburg State University.

Four Bobcats – Mason Buckler (157 pounds), Liam DeBaugh (165), Duncan Kammar (174), and Gavin Bage (285) – notched pins as FSU improved to 2-0. The FSU match was GC's first dual meet of the season.

GC's first home event will be the four-team, two-mat Defend the Lake Open this Saturday at 10 a.m. Sussex County (NJ) Community College, Rowan (NJ) University, and Thaddeus Stevens (PA) College of Technology will be the other competing programs.

Guy, a 2023 national qualifier, earned a 15-0 technical fall against Zach Alkhatib. Clayton defeated Joe Colony, 17-13, for GC's other victory.

The 197-pound class was the closest match of the day, with FSU's William Applegarth edging GC's Drayk Bunn, 8-5.

Seven FSU freshmen and a redshirt sophomore accounted for the youthful Bobcats' eight wins in 10 bouts.
