Bel Air, MD – AJ Crosby recorded a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead four Lakers into double figures Monday night as Garrett College rolled to a 78-60 men's basketball victory over host Harford Community College.
Nyrek Wheeler scored 16 points, Korey Mitchum chipped in 15, and Cassius Bonjasky contributed 10 for the Lakers. Reserve Kamren Heathington just missed double figures with eight points.
The Lakers (10-5 overall, 2-2 Maryland JuCo) built a 31-24 halftime lead and then pulled away after intermission. Garrett goes into the holiday break with six wins in its last eight games.
Paul Mason led Harford (7-7, 3-3) with 12 points.
The Lakers are off until January 7th when they host Butler County Community College in a 3 p.m. contest.

Cumberland, MD – Tekao Carpenter scored a game-high 35 points Saturday night as the Trojans defeated Garrett College in overtime for the second time this season.
Tyson Oghene added 17 points while Dalyn Brandon and Gary Francis scored 13 points each for the Trojans.
Rob Smith (24 points, 10 rebounds) and Nyrek Wheeler (21 points, 11 rebounds) each posted double-doubles for GC. Munchy Thompson scored 22 points, AJ Crosby added 13 points and seven rebounds, and Kamren Heathington scored 10 as five Lakers hit double figures.
