Rick Ray began his career in 1989 as a minor league athletic trainer for the Utica Blue Sox, an affiliation of the Chicago White Sox. In 1992 he became the Head Athletic Trainer for West Virginia State University, where he remained for 32 years. He is now in his second year as Assistant Athletic Trainer for Garrett College.
Rick graduated high school at Turkeyfoot Valley and decided he wanted to return to the area where he grew up.
